Children learn at different rates - sometimes differing between subjects. Our teaching and support staff assess and observe children periodially throughout their learning journey to monitor suitability for support, stretch and/or in class scaffolding. Through early recognition and tracking of each student's individual strengths and areas for development, every child can experience ongoing success at their own pace.
Being literate is at the foundation of most learning opportunities and success - because of this we have trained, dedicated Support Staff to facilitate the MultiLit Program.
MultiLit stands for Making Up Lost Time In LITeracy, and is a researched intervention program for students who haven't quite grasped all the aspects of reading and literacy. For students identified as requiring some additional support, we host onsite engaging and fun small group sessions.
MiniLit is offered to students in Reception-Year 2 while MacqLit is for students in Years 3-6.
We also offer a Catch-Up Numeracy program for children requiring some additional numeracy support. These sessions run throughout the week, are run by one of our ESOs in a small group.
