St. Joseph’s School, Kingswood is a high quality Catholic school conducted in the Josephite tradition. It has been a strong presence in the local community for over 100 years, and the ethos of the Josephite sisters and Mary MacKillop continues to thrive today. Our teachers, leaders and support staff encourage and support children to be the best learners they can, through a contemporary and stimulating curriculum & respectful relationships. We value and acknowledge our children as competent, capable citizens of our world, and our school vision of Connection, Excellence, Gratitude allows us to create dynamic and progressive learning environments where learning prepares the children for active participation in their world. Families are invited to connect with our school community through our Playgroup, our longer transition to school program, JOEYS for 4 year olds in the period prior to beginning school, through Principal’s Tours & social functions, and through the Emmaus Catholic Parish.
We offer a diverse range of extra-curricular learning and specialist programs including Italian, PE, Arts and Music.
Our modern facilities include fully air-conditioned class rooms, a multi-purpose hall, full sized basketball/netball/play courts, oval, and resource centre. For added convenience there is OSHC for care both before and after school a Playgroup for Birth-4 year olds and a JOEYS Transition Program for students aged 4.
